What is IGF-1?

IGF-1, also popularly known as IGF1 is responsible for much of what is attributed to HGH or the Human Growth Hormone. It is made by the liver and triggered by HGH. It is also a good way to find about one's HGH levels, as it is volatile and otherwise difficult to test for.
The test for IGF-1 is relatively simple, primarily being an inexpensive and simple saliva test.

A concerning trend has come up lately. As the HGH boom is fading away, IGF-1 has taken its place and profit-blinded product pushers have now flooded the market on this new bandwagon. Just as with HGH, many brands and types of IGF-1 are coming up, leading to a lot of misleading and potentially dangerous products.

IGF-1 Spray or other products

Not enough information is available currently about these products. So the best advice would be to stay away from them until better data is available. Some are known to be from animals leading to dangerous implications including CJD (mad cow).
The recommendation is to consult your doctor or an anti-aging specialist before taking your informed decision. Feel free to browse through the rest of this site to discover more about HGH and IGF-1.
